Naturally flavored Orange Olive Oil gives typical french toast an especially unique touch. Got little helpers? Young kids can be in charge of measuring, stirring and washing berries.
- 8 slices day-old country loaf, brioche or challah bread, about 1/2″ inch thick
- 1-1/2 cups milk
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons Orange Olive Oil from The Olive Orchard
Whisk together milk, eggs, cinnamon and salt. Dip bread into mixture, allow to soak for 30 seconds on each side. Drain slightly.
Pour 1 to 2 tablespoons of Orange Olive Oil into pan over medium heat. Cook bread until golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove to a rack in a warm oven. Between batches, add more Orange Olive Oil to the pan as necessary. Serve immediately with fresh berries and warm maple syrup.

I haven’t used this recipe, but I do use my orange/olive oil in making chocolate chip pancakes from scratch and the end results is a pancake the smells and taste just like the chocolate Christmas orange. The whole family loves them. I had purchase Sicilian Orange from a local bakery, but they stopped selling it, so I went serching for some. I was pleased to find your website and have ordered enough to last for awhile. I use it alot. Thanks for a great product. R. Williams
Thanks for your feedback, Richard. Orange and chocolate make a great pair in so many recipes!
